Terms of Service

1. Use of the Service

Voccle provides an AI-powered vocabulary learning platform. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the security of the Service
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from the Service without permission
• Submit text that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
• Use the Service to create content intended to deceive or harm others

2. Accounts

To save flashcard decks and access synced data, you may create an account using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of any text, words, or content you submit to Voccle. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (e.g., passing it to an AI model to generate flashcards). We do not sell your content to third parties.

4. AI-Generated Content

Flashcard definitions, translations, and example sentences are generated by AI (Google Gemini). While we aim for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. Voccle is a learning tool and should not be the sole source for critical language information. Always verify important translations with authoritative sources.

5. Intellectual Property

The Voccle name, logo, UI design, and source code are the intellectual property of DevSonny. The spaced repetition logic uses the FSRS algorithm (BSD 3-Clause, © 2023 Open Spaced Repetition). All other trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Voccle is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Voccle and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (if any).

8. Free Service and Advertising

Voccle is currently provided free of charge. To support the Service, we may display advertisements via Google AdSense. By using the Service, you agree to the display of such advertisements.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
